The Prince George’s Film Office to Host Inaugural Prince George’s Film Festival
Festival to celebrate and support local filmmakers, digital creators, and film enthusiasts
August 15, 2022––Largo, MD––The Prince George’s Film Office is excited to announce its today that it will host its first signature event first film festival, the Prince George’s Film Festival (PGFF 2022). Under the auspice of the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, this festival is purposed to bolster filmmakers and provide a platform to showcase their films and provide a dedicated space to network with peers and industry representatives and creatives. “We are excited to partner with Experience Prince George’s and Bowie State University to expand the possibilities for film and filmmakers in the County.” says Rhonda Dallas, Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, CEO and Chief Curator. “The goal of PGFF 2022 is to not only showcase Prince George’s County as a blossoming film making destination, but also highlight the best of cinema in Prince George’s County and support filmmakers, animators, digital artists, digital creators, and film enthusiasts by creating a transformational attendee experience.”
PGFF 2022 will take place September 22–25 and will convene local and national filmmakers, film enthusiasts, actors, producers, animators, writers, digital creators, and County stakeholders throughout Prince George’s County for a celebration of film. “We are thrilled to present four days of dynamic programming including virtual film screenings, receptions, social networking opportunities, relevant panel discussions and Q&As with notable filmmakers, awards, a digital art exhibit, and much more.” says Donna Foster, General Manager of the Prince George’s Film Office. “The Prince George’s Film Office is the go-to resource for filmmakers and digital creators in the County. PGFF 2022 is purposed to bolster this community and provide a platform to showcase their films and network with industry representatives, creatives, and film lovers.”
